We now own three of these, which tells you what you need to know. One in the living room, one in my office, one that my daughter took to university. What sold all three of us is the same thing, which is that you are not maintaining a water tank. No algae, no mineral film, no scrubbing a plastic reservoir with a bottle brush every fortnight. You put oil in glass, you run it, once a week you swirl some alcohol in it and you are done. The scent is fuller and cleaner than the ultrasonic machines we had before, and the amber chamber keeps the citrus oils usable for longer. The battery is genuinely useful, we move them from room to room without thinking about outlets. Oil use is higher, that is the honest tradeoff, but for a cordless diffuser that also looks this good, I would not go back.

Le bois massif et le verre ambré en font un bel objet, discret sur une étagère, qui n'a pas l'air d'un appareil électrique. L'autonomie me permet de le déplacer du bureau au salon sans chercher une prise. Le point faible, c'est la consommation d'huile, plus rapide qu'avec un diffuseur à eau, et le bouchon en verre qui n'est pas fixé. Rien de rédhibitoire. Je recommande.
You can tell where the money went. Thick hand blown glass, actual wood with visible grain, no plastic anywhere in the oil path. That last part is why I bought it. Plastic and essential oils do not belong together long term, and this is the best cordless diffuser for essential oils that I have tried.
I work from home and used to burn candles all day, which gave me headaches. Switched to this with peppermint and lemon on the low setting. Focus is better, no headache, and I can still hear my own thoughts because it is about as loud as a fridge hum.

Compared this to my roommate's Aria. Same machine basically, but the amber one looks warmer and my citrus oils last way longer in it. Worth the extra if you use a lot of bergamot.

I want to talk about the one thing nobody else seems to mention. I bought this because I use a lot of bergamot and neroli, and those are expensive oils that go off fast. My old clear glass diffuser had a 20ml reservoir and by week three the neroli smelled like nothing, just a faint greasy sweetness. I blamed the oil. Turns out it was the UV. The amber chamber on the Ember filters it out, and I have now had the same bergamot in there for five weeks with no drop in quality. So yes, I paid more than the clear version costs and I would do it again without thinking about it, because one bottle of decent neroli costs more than the difference. Beyond that it is a well built little machine. Four modes, two with the warm lamp, and the light through the amber glass at night is genuinely lovely, more like candlelight than LED. The pump cycles every few minutes rather than running constantly, which keeps the oil consumption sane. I run it four hours a night in a bedroom with the door shut and a full chamber lasts me about a week. The one thing I would change is the top cap, which just rests on the glass and slides if you grab the whole thing. Minor. The wood base is heavy enough that the unit does not walk around, and cleaning with isopropyl takes three minutes on a Sunday. If you are deciding between this and the transparent version in the same line, and you use citrus or floral oils, spend the extra money on this one.

The reason I went waterless is my cat. No standing water, no mold, nothing to knock over and spill. The vet said the oils I use are fine around her as long as she can leave the room. She just sleeps next to it now, completely indifferent.

Ici, le verre ambré filtre les UV et la même huile tient plus de cinq semaines sans perdre son éclat. C'est la vraie raison pour laquelle j'ai payé plus cher que la version transparente de la même gamme, et je referais ce choix sans hésiter. Le reste est à la hauteur. Quatre modes, dont deux avec la lumière chaude, un bois massif bien fini, et une diffusion sans eau qui donne un parfum franc et non dilué. Comme diffuseur huiles essentielles sans eau, il fait exactement ce que je veux. Je le fais tourner quatre heures le soir dans le salon, une recharge me dure une semaine environ. La pompe s'entend légèrement dans le silence, il faut le savoir, mais rien de gênant en journée. Nettoyage à l'alcool isopropylique une fois par semaine, trois minutes. Très satisfaite.
Nothing wrong with how it works, the scent is genuinely strong and the glass is gorgeous. Just know that it drinks oil. I go through a 10ml bottle of lavender in about three weeks, which is much faster than my tank diffuser did. Even for a rechargeable nebulizer it is thirsty. Still worth it.

The 30ml chamber is the reason I picked this over the smaller ones in the line. I mix my own blend, twelve drops lavender, eight cedar, six sweet orange, and a full chamber gets me through eight or nine evenings. Not having to refill every two days is the whole point.

Ich wollte das Gerät unbedingt gut finden, weil die Optik wirklich besonders ist. Bernsteinfarbenes Glas, Holz, warmes Licht, das sieht man selten. Aber ich habe es vor allem fürs Schlafzimmer gekauft und dort funktioniert es für mich nicht. Die Pumpe läuft alle paar Minuten an, und in einem stillen Raum hört man dieses mechanische Pfft deutlich. Nicht laut, aber präsent, und mich hält es wach. Zweiter Punkt ist der Ölverbrauch, der ist bei wasserlosen Geräten naturgemäß hoch, in der höchsten Stufe ist meine 10-ml-Flasche nach gut zwei Wochen leer. Als Duftvernebler im Wohnzimmer am Tag ist er dagegen richtig gut, kräftiger Duft, schöne Optik, einfache Reinigung. Die Optik bleibt trotzdem mein Lieblingsdetail, die Verarbeitung ist tadellos und das bernsteinfarbene Glas ist wirklich schön. Für ein Schlafzimmer würde ich ihn nicht nochmal kaufen, für den Wohnbereich schon.
The fact that it is cordless is underrated. I did emails in the office this morning, moved it to the kitchen while I cooked, then to the bedroom. No cable to unplug, no dead spot on the wall. Battery was still fine.
Wer bis hierher liest: Ich schreibe sonst nie Rezensionen, aber zu diesem Gerät findet man im Netz fast nichts, und ich habe drei Wochen recherchiert, bevor ich zugeschlagen habe. Kurz zu mir: Ich verneble seit etwa sechs Jahren ätherische Öle, hatte zwei Ultraschallgeräte mit Wassertank, eines vom Discounter und eines für knapp sechzig Euro, und seit Mai steht der Lab. Ember in meinem Arbeitszimmer, etwa achtzehn Quadratmeter, Dachgeschoss, im Sommer sehr warm. Auspacken: Der Karton ist überraschend schwer. Drin liegt der Holzsockel, die Glasglocke, also das bernsteinfarbene Teil, der Glasdeckel, ein USB-C-Kabel, eine Pipette und eine kleine Karte zur Reinigung. Kein Netzteil, das ist schade, aber ich habe genug davon. Auffällig: Im Karton sind zwei Aussparungen, in denen offenbar mal Zubehör liegen sollte, die sind aber leer. Der Holzsockel ist echtes Holz, keine Folie, und die Glasglocke ist handgeblasen und dickwandig. Hält man sie gegen das Fenster, kommt das Licht honigfarben durch, fast wie bei einer Whiskyflasche. Neben der klaren Variante desselben Herstellers wirkt das bernsteinfarbene Glas deutlich wärmer und ruhiger. Aufbau: Öl einfüllen, Glocke aufschrauben, Deckel drauf, Modus wählen. Fertig. Ich fülle meistens 25 bis 30 Tropfen ein. Und jetzt der Punkt, der für mich alles entscheidet: Ich verbrauche viel kaltgepresstes Bergamotte- und Orangenöl, und das sind genau die Öle, die am schnellsten oxidieren. Bei meinem alten Ultraschaller roch eine Ladung Bergamotte nach zwei, drei Wochen flach und irgendwie seifig. Im Ember habe ich dieselbe Flasche jetzt seit sechs Wochen drin, und der Duft ist noch genauso klar und frisch. Bernsteinfarbenes Glas filtert UV-Licht, und UV ist das, was Zitrus- und Blütendüfte zerstört. Deshalb habe ich den Aufpreis gegenüber der klaren Version gern bezahlt, und ich würde es wieder tun. Ein wasserloser Diffusor mit lichtgeschütztem Glas ist für mich genau die richtige Kombination. Modi: vier, zwei mit warmem Licht, zwei ohne. Mit Licht ist Modus eins auf zwei Stunden getaktet, Modus zwei auf vier Stunden. Ohne Licht läuft Modus drei acht Stunden, Modus vier dauerhaft. Die Pumpe arbeitet im Wechsel, ungefähr drei Minuten Pause, dann ein bis zwei Minuten Vernebelung. Auf der niedrigen Dauerstufe sind das etwa 0,2 ml pro Stunde, auf der höchsten Stufe eher 1,5 ml. Eine Füllung von 30 ml reicht also je nach Betrieb drei Tage bis zwei Wochen. Dass ein wasserloser Diffusor mehr Öl braucht als ein Tankgerät, ist Physik und kein Mangel, aber man sollte es vorher wissen. Reichweite: In meinen achtzehn Quadratmetern ist Modus zwei mehr als genug. Auf der höchsten Stufe mit offener Tür riecht man es im Flur und im Wohnzimmer. Für ein wirklich großes offenes Wohnzimmer sind die angegebenen 600 Quadratfuß ehrlich, aber dann braucht man einen zentralen Platz und eine hohe Stufe. Geräusch: Hier bin ich ehrlich. Beim Pumpen hört man ein leises mechanisches Pfft, und in einem komplett stillen Raum um 23 Uhr hört man das auch, vielleicht 35 bis 40 Dezibel, etwa wie eine leise Aquariumpumpe. Tagsüber stört es mich null, und ich wache davon nicht auf. Wer aber absolute Stille zum Schlafen braucht, stellt das Gerät ans andere Ende des Raums. Akku: Mit den Pumpenzyklen komme ich auf etwa vier Tage in Modus eins und auf etwa eineinhalb Tage auf der höchsten Stufe. Geladen wird über USB-C, und man kann während des Ladens betreiben. Reinigung: einmal pro Woche etwas Isopropylalkohol in die Glocke, schwenken, ausgießen, außen abwischen. Drei Minuten. Den Holzsockel natürlich nicht einweichen. Ich nutze übrigens DoTERRA-Öle direkt, funktioniert einwandfrei und hinterlässt keine Rückstände. Zwei kleine Kritikpunkte. Der Glasdeckel liegt nur auf, er ist nicht verschraubt, wenn man das Gerät am Deckel greift, kommt er mit. Und die Außenseite der Glocke wird nach ein paar Wochen leicht klebrig, also lieber regelmäßig abwischen. Für wen ist das Gerät? Für Leute, die schon gute Öle haben und sie unverdünnt und geschützt haben wollen. Für alle, die ein Objekt wollen, das aussieht wie aus einer Apotheke und nicht wie ein Elektrogerät. Und für alle, die das Gerät von Raum zu Raum tragen. Für wen nicht? Wer sichtbaren Nebel und Feuchtigkeit will, wer sparen muss und Plastik okay findet, und wer bei jedem Geräusch aufwacht. Von mir eine klare Empfehlung, und ich hoffe, das hilft jemandem bei der Entscheidung.
Six weeks in, no problems. The people complaining about performance should try cleaning the chamber with isopropyl once a week. It takes three minutes and the output stays exactly the same as day one. I run it four hours every evening with lavender and I am maybe a third of the way through my 30ml bottle.

Sie nutzt DoTERRA-Öle damit und sagt, der Duft sei viel reiner als bei ihrem alten Diffusor. Als Geschenk im Bereich Aromatherapie war er ein Volltreffer.
